For this week, the following checklist provides you with the class activities to achieve our first learning objective: DEFINE MOBILE LEARNING.
1) If you have not done so, set up your Twitter and Blogging accounts. Play around with Twitter to communicate and interact with your classmates, and share your reflections on this week's topic.
2) Try out the mobile tool Snapchat, record your introductory video and post it on your blog!
3) Go to our PBworks collaborative workspace, discuss and co-create the first set of resources to define what mobile learning is. Share resources and links as you deem necessary. All other essential instructions are on the webpage!
4) Publish at least 2 x blogposts on your reflection of this week's activities and experience. Comment on 2 other classmates' blogposts.
If you have any questions, you can leave your comments here, or should you need any help, don't forget that I am just an email away!

Orientate Yourself to the Essential Tools
Well, as we start to move into the next 3 weeks' class activities, I will first like to orientate you to the essential tools that we will be using to collaborate and communicate with one another in this class.
As I had introduced earlier, this is our official Class Blog, and I will be using this platform to disseminate all essential information with regard to what we need to do for the next 3 weeks of mobile learning.
If you notice the side navigation bar on the right, there are a few widgets that I want you to familiarize yourselves with. Firstly, there is a link to PBworks, which will be the official collaborative workspace that you guys will frequently visit and jointly work on as part of the class activities next week. First thing first, go to the link, set up an account and be familiar with the layout and features of the site.
Next, you will see the Twitter Feed for our class hashtag #mlearning6414. We will use Twitter as the primary tool to engage, interact and communicate with each other. Share links to relevant resources, tweet about related events, or call out to any classmates via this platform! If you do not already have an account, go to Twitter and set up one now!
Finally, as you scroll down further on this page, you can see the links to the Blogs of each and everyone of you in the class. You may choose any blogging application of your choice (Blogger, Wordpress, etc), and once you had set up one, let me or our TA know the blog address so that we can add you to the list. Just to reiterate, your personal blogs are meant for you to reflect on each week's activities and experience, so feel free to explore each other's blogposts and leave a comment!
That is all for now! Stay tuned on Sunday to find out what we will be going to do for this class for next week!

Activities for the Next 3 Weeks
Hi folks of eme6414! I know a lot of you are anxious and to discover what we are going to do for the next 3 weeks. What I can promise you is that your learning experience will be pretty much experiential, as you will get to explore and play around with a few Web 2.0 and social media tools, and by doing so, you will understand and learn about the concepts of mobile learning and how it can support learning.
Another critical component of this lesson is the collaborative process that you will participate for the next 3 weeks, where you will learn to communicate and work jointly with your fellow classmates to develop a set of knowledge and resources to reinforce your understanding of mobile learning.
Finally, you will also be required to reflect on each week's activities and experiences, blog about it, share it with your classmates, and provide feedback to each other.
In summary, we have 3 main learning objectives to achieve for this lesson. If you actively participate in all the activities and do what is required of you, then you should be able to achieve the following by the end of these 3 weeks:
1) Define what mobile learning is,
2) Identify the advantages and disadvantages of mobile learning, and
3) Describe an application of mobile learning in a setting of your choice
Already feeling all excited about it? Stay tuned to this blog for more instructions!
